1200 euros per month for innovative ideas
Start-up grant NRW
The NRW start-up grant is an initiative of the NRW Ministry of Economic Affairs to promote innovative business start-ups. Founders or teams of up to three people receive 1,200 euros per month for a maximum of one year to help them prepare for or launch their own business. They can also take advantage of personalised coaching and exchange ideas in start-up networks.
The scholarship is aimed at founders who want to realise an innovative idea with a forward-looking character – regardless of whether it involves products, processes, business models or services. It can be a new invention or the optimisation of an existing product or service. The range of topics is open – from an IT solution for administration to a new sorting system for goods logistics or improved protective clothing for industry to a café with social promotion elements.
The aim is to support founders before and at the beginning of their business start-up, so that they have the freedom to concentrate fully on the preparation and realisation of their business idea during this challenging phase. Funding is available to founders who either want to become self-employed with a company in NRW within the next twelve months or have already done so within the past twelve months.
Awarding of the start-up grant
The start-up grant is awarded on the basis of funding recommendations from the start-up grant jury. The jury in the district of Coesfeld consists of the STARTERCENTER.NRW in the district of Coesfeld and the partners of the network gwc.Gründung und Wachstum im Kreis: Lars Mecking (HWK Münster), Ulrich Müller (Kreishandwerkerschaft Coesfeld), Christian Seega (IHK Nord Westfalen), Andrea Meyer (wfc), Nathalie Reichel (wfc) and Thomas Brühmann (wfc).
Founders who wish to apply for a scholarship must submit an idea paper to us in advance and then present their idea to the jury. The template for the idea paper and further information can be obtained from our start-up advisors.
