Successfully attract and retain employees with JobHealthy

Intensive support services for customised occupational health management

A company health management programme (BGM) that is built up from within the company, is fully geared towards the needs of the employees and remains dynamic: This is JobHealthy, a programme offered by the GesundArbeiten network for small and medium-sized companies with at least ten employees.

Unfortunately, the current JobHealthy programme is already fully booked. If you are interested, we will be happy to put you on a waiting list. Contact details: see below.

What is special about JobHealthy?

The central approach of JobHealthy is that occupational health management is most successful when it is developed within the company itself. Experts from the HealthyWorking network therefore provide intensive, practical and highly structured support to one or two employees from the participating companies in their role as BGM guides to establish a customised BGM in their company. Each guide only implements those aspects that employees really want and that bring them added value

Who are the partners of JobHealthy?

The partners are Deutsche Rentenversicherung, BARMER, Unfallkasse NRW and the business development organisations of the Coesfeld and Borken districts.

How does JobHealthy work?

Over a period of 15 months, experts from the network impart the necessary knowledge to the future BGM guides in a total of eight workshops, each lasting at least half a day. Step by step, the BGM guides learn which BGM measures are possible and plan the programme that is suitable for their company’s requirements. By working together in the workshops, the participating companies also benefit from exchanging ideas with each other. The implementation of the first BGM measures in the companies begins around five to six months after the start. The BGM guides are also closely supported by the expert network – including analyses, possible adjustments and ongoing evaluations.

What happens after the 15 months?

The experts remain contact persons for the companies via the HealthyWorking network even after the end of the process. In this way, they help to ensure that the company health management programme is not just implemented once, but is dynamically developed further. In addition, the network organises workshops and – if desired – regular exchange meetings between the JobHealthy companies.

How much time does it take for companies?

In addition to the eight workshops, each of which lasts at least half a day, the estimated additional time required for the BGM guides is on average one to two hours per week.

Why is occupational health management important?

Employees who work in healthy structures and whose overall health is promoted by their companies are not only more satisfied and less likely to change jobs, but are also significantly more productive. Company health management is therefore of central importance in the recruitment and long-term retention of skilled labour.

Studies show that well-designed occupational health management helps to…

  • improve the health of employees – through targeted measures such as healthy eating, sports programmes, stress management training and health checks
  • increase employee motivation and performance because they feel valued and cared for
  • Reduce sickness and absenteeism – among other things through prevention programmes
  • improve occupational safety – through training and information on ergonomic workplaces and behaviours that prevent accidents
  • increase employer attractiveness because it shows that it cares about its employees
